Jonathan A. Morell (Jonny) is an organizational psychologist whose work focuses on how organizations behave, change, and interact. He researches and writes about their internal dynamics, and the influence of their political, social, economic and technological environments. He conducts projects aimed at discovering current realities, evaluating innovation, researching trends, and developing methods. Much of his research and evaluation activity concerns the nexus of business process and information technology. Another major portion of his work is concerned with researching existing conditions and likely future practices. He has done this work in a variety of commercial and government settings. In addition to work with individual companies, Jonny has worked with industrial sectors, supply chains, and the standards community. In addition to publishing widely, Jonny serves as Editor-in-Chief of the international journal Evaluation and Program Planning , and is on the editorial board of International Journal of Electronic Business , and the International Journal of Services Technology Management . Jonny is active in the American Evaluation Association, and is involved with three of its special interest groups: Business and Industry, Research Technology and Development, and Cross-Cultural and International Evaluation. He received AEA's Distinguished Service Award, and is a Fellow of the Society for Community Research and Action (a division of the American Psychological Association). He is currently a member of the National Advisory Committee for the Robert Wood Johnson's program in evaluating E-health technologies. Jonny has a Ph.D. in Psychology from Northwestern University. Prior to joining The Altarum Institute, he worked as a Professor at Hahnemann University, and for Martin Marietta Energy Systems as a staff member at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory. His present position is Senior Policy Analyst in Altarum's Enterprise Solutions Division. |
